To our St. Paul’s Foundation Donors and Family,

Thank you for your incredible support of St. Paul’s Foundation. We recognize this is an exceptional time of change within our communities. We encourage you to take every precaution to keep yourself healthy and to help reduce the transmission of disease through social distancing and self-isolation measures as recommended by the BC Ministry of Health.

Providence Health Care & St. Paul’s Foundation

Providence Health Care is at the heart of the crisis with dedicated health professionals working to help keep British Columbians safe as we all combat COVID-19. These teams are doing extraordinary work. The pathology laboratory at St. Paul’s Hospital is one of the centres testing for COVID-19 and as of last week, our laboratory team had tested more patients than 86% of US states had managed. Kudos to this team for keeping up with the high demand.

All PHC hospitals and long-term care homes are taking the necessary precautions to avoid and limit the spread of COVID-19 including cancelling elective surgeries, reducing ambulatory clinics to urgent or emergency patients, limiting patient and resident visits to family members, increasing infection control measures, social distancing and an enhanced PHC Greeter Program for site entrances to limit visitors and encourage hand sanitization..

The Foundation is also taking measures to avoid and limit the spread of COVID-19. Our staff are working from home and are available by email and phone. We’ll be pleased to answer questions the best we can regarding the current situation and any other foundation-related activities.

You can play a part helping your neighbours across BC

If you would like to help ensure our dedicated health care team at PHC has the resources they need to provide the very best care possible at this time, we have put together a COVID-19 Response Fund to support PHC’s patients, residents, and health care team. The needs are evolving but rest assured that we will continue to support our frontline health care workers in every way we can and we thank you for being part of our family of support.

Again, we encourage you to take every measure to stay healthy and to visit the BC Centre for Disease Control website for more information.

Thank you for supporting Providence Health Care and St. Paul’s Foundation,
