    Role Overview
    The Associate Director, Events plays a key leadership role in the execution and delivery of a diverse and high-profile events portfolio that advances St. Paul’s Foundation’s fundraising and campaign priorities. This includes lottery programs, community initiatives, signature events such as Lights of Hope and Feast of Fortune, as well as a range of cultivation and stewardship events that strengthen donor engagement and philanthropic impact.

    This role focuses on translating strategic direction into effective, high-quality event execution while ensuring operational excellence across all initiatives. The Associate Director works across teams and with external partners to deliver complex, multi-stakeholder events, contributing to organizational goals through strong project leadership, collaboration, and disciplined management of timelines, budgets, and resources.
     
    Key Responsibilities
    • Execute the strategic direction of the Foundation’s events portfolio, overseeing the planning and delivery of lottery programs, community initiatives, signature events, and cultivation and stewardship events.
    • Lead cross-functional collaboration with fundraising, donor relations, campaign, marketing, and communications teams to ensure alignment with organizational and campaign goals.
    • Contribute to departmental planning, including annual event strategy development, prioritization, and continuous improvement of the events portfolio.
    • Provide leadership, coaching, and day-to-day guidance to internal team members while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
    • Manage external vendors, contractors, volunteers, and event partners to ensure successful execution of all initiatives.
    • Oversee event budgets, ensuring accurate tracking, financial accountability, and alignment with approved plans.
    • Identify opportunities to enhance event effectiveness, audience engagement, revenue generation, and operational efficiency.
    • Develop and refine processes, tools, and standards to strengthen consistency and excellence across events.
    • Represent the Foundation with internal and external stakeholders in the planning and delivery of assigned initiatives.
    • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, ensuring successful event execution.
    • Participate in process improvement initiatives and perform other related duties as required.
     
    Qualifications & Experience
    • Successful completion of a post secondary program in Business Administration, Communications, Event Management or a related field, required.
    • A minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in events, fundraising, philanthropy, cause-based marketing, or related fields required.
    • Experience in a nonprofit or healthcare environment considered an asset.
    • Demonstrated experience leading and executing complex, multi-stakeholder events or programs.
    • Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and multiple concurrent projects effectively.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and donor/event database systems (e.g., Raiser’s Edge or similar).

    Role Overview
    The Director, Business Intelligence & Prospect Research provides strategic leadership for the Foundation’s data, analytics, and prospect development functions. This role is responsible for building and advancing an integrated approach to business intelligence and prospect research that enables data-informed decision-making and drives fundraising performance.

    This position oversees the full lifecycle of prospect development—from identification and qualification through to portfolio optimization—while also establishing strong data governance, analytics, and reporting capabilities across the organization. The Director plays a critical role in equipping senior leadership, fundraisers, and the Board with actionable insights, while fostering a culture of data literacy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
     
    Key Responsibilities
    • Establish and lead the organization’s business intelligence strategy, including the development of KPIs, dashboards, and reporting that enable data-informed decision-making.
    • Lead the Foundation’s prospect research and management function. Partnering with fundraising leadership to develop and optimize gift officer portfolios, including segmentation, capacity alignment, and performance monitoring against pipeline and revenue goals.
    • Oversee data quality, integrity, and governance across CRM and analytics platforms, ensuring consistency and reliability of data.
    • Design and develop a comprehensive prospect management system, forecasting models to assess pipeline health, pipeline analytics, and alignment with fundraising priorities.
    • Provide high-quality research, briefings, and insights to support senior leadership, major gift officers, and Board engagement.
    • Partner with IT and external vendors to optimize systems, integrations, and reporting capabilities.
    • Evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of data, analytics, and prospect research programs, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
    • Build organizational capability in the use of data, analytics, and prospect insights to strengthen performance and outcomes.
    • Participate in process improvement initiatives and perform other related duties as required.
     
    Qualifications & Experience
    • Successful completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, or Statistics, is required.
    • A minimum of 8–12 years of progressive experience in business intelligence, data analytics, prospect research, or related functions, preferably within a nonprofit or fundraising environment required.
    • Demonstrated leadership experience overseeing data, analytics, or prospect development teams.
    • Deep understanding of prospect research methodologies, wealth screening tools, drive adoption and portfolio management in a fundraising context.
    • Strong experience with CRM systems (e.g., Raiser’s Edge or similar), data governance, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).
    • Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
    • Experience establishing KPIs, dashboards, and performance measurement frameworks aligned to strategic goals.

    Role Overview
    St. Paul’s Foundation is seeking a strategic leader to establish and grow our Planned Giving program at a pivotal moment in our history. As we embark on the development of a new hospital, research complex, and health campus, this role will build a best-in-class planned giving program that secures long-term philanthropic support for generations to come.
     
    The Director, Planned Giving is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy, while also leading the operational, administrative, and donor engagement functions required to build a high-performing program.
     
    Key Responsibilities
    Develop and execute a comprehensive Planned Giving strategy that advances the Foundation’s long-term fundraising goals and supports future growth.
    Build and lead the Planned Giving program, including establishing priorities, processes, performance metrics, and a roadmap for team and program expansion.
    Manage and grow a portfolio of planned giving donors and prospects, leading cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship to secure legacy gifts.
    Serve as the Foundation’s subject matter expert on planned giving, including estate administration, tax and legal considerations, and complex gifts.
    Oversee estate gift administration, working with executors, legal counsel, and advisors to ensure timely and effective realization of gifts.
    Partner with colleagues across major gifts, stewardship, and communications to integrate planned giving into broader donor strategies.
    Lead the development of marketing and engagement strategies, including building relationships with professional advisors to expand program reach.
    Establish strong operational and governance practices, including reporting, data integrity, compliance, and portfolio analytics.
    Participate in process improvement initiatives and perform additional related duties as required.
     
    Qualifications & Experience
    Post-secondary degree in a relevant field, such as law or financial planning, required.
    7–10+ years of progressive experience in fundraising, planned giving, estate administration, or a related field.
    Demonstrated experience building or growing a program, initiative, or function.
    Strong knowledge of Canadian tax legislation, estate planning, and charitable giving vehicles.
    Experience working with estates, trusts, and legal documentation.
    Proven ability to manage donor relationships and contribute to securing major or planned gifts.
