Feast of Fortune celebrates 15 years of grassroots fundraising

Published

This year’s online Feast of Fortune was a touching reminder that every donor – and every dollar – makes a difference.

St. Paul’s Foundation celebrated our 15th Feast of Fortune with a week-long silent auction, another tasty partnership with the Chinese Restaurant Awards, and a lucky draw. Sharon B. was the lucky winner of the one-of-a-kind golden Year of the Tiger icon.

We raised more than $10,500 thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and partners, including Parq Vancouver, the Chinese Restaurant Awards, and the wonderful volunteers on the Feast of Fortune committee. And our amazing donors gave almost $89,000, bringing the total within a whisker of $100,000!

Those funds will support the future of medicine at the Providence Research Institute at the Jim Pattison Medical Campus: a state-of-the-art research and innovation complex more than twice the size of the current St. Paul’s Hospital.

“We are so appreciative of our steadfast sponsors, partners, and volunteers,” said Dick Vollet, President and CEO of St. Paul’s Foundation. “Whether it’s a gala or a grassroots fundraiser, Feast of Fortune is a celebration of the work we do – and the lives we change – when we come together.”

Since 2008, donors like you have helped raise more than $8 million and made Feast of Fortune one of our most impactful fundraising events. Thank you!

We wish you a year of good health and continued prosperity.
