Today, we are facing the lowest rates of hypertension treatment and management in more than a decade. Mainland Sleep Clinics supports patients with hypertension each day in all 8 of their clinics. Hypertension has a direct correlation with sleep disordered breathing, such as sleep apnea, and when treated, can support hypertension management.

We strongly believe in treating the root cause of illness, including hypertension in patients with sleep apnea and other sleep disorders. That’s why this Golf Tournament is in support of St. Paul's Hospital Hypertension program. 

St. Paul’s is looking to develop a world-class digital health program that can help patients monitor their hypertension, is patient-centred, and could have extended potential for the management of other chronic diseases. St. Paul’s has a strong legacy of success, backed by a team of leaders in the field of hypertension and digital health technology who, through pilot studies, have already seen amazing results with using telemonitoring to improve patient care.

With your support towards the Scholarship in Hypertension, they can build on this work and recruit a research scholar who will be dedicated to developing innovative ideas that can transform care for people living with hypertension in BC and around the world.
