Teck donates $10 million to support the new St. Paul’s Hospital
Teck Resources Limited committed $10 million to support the new emergency department at the future St. Paul’s Hospital on the Jim Pattison Medical Campus. This innovative space is designed to transform emergency care – reducing wait times, supporting patients with complex needs, and enhancing infection control by using advanced antimicrobial copper surfaces.
This partnership reflects Teck’s dedication to community well-being and positions the company as a champion of transformative health care innovation.
BMO Financial Group donated $2 million to St. Paul’s Foundation to further strengthen St. Paul’s Hospital’s commitment to Indigenous health and wellness.
This generous gift enables the work of the FNHA Chair in Heart Health and Wellness at St. Paul’s Hospital, supported by BMO – a collaborative initiative between the First Nations Health Authority, St. Paul’s Hospital, Simon Fraser University, and Providence Health Care Research Institute.
With a mandate to lead research and education that improves cardiac health in Indigenous communities across British Columbia, the Chair follows a community-engaged approach – ensuring priorities are developed with, by, and for First Nations, upholding the principles of reconciliation.
