Funded by donations to St. Paul’s Foundation’s annual Lights of Hope and participation in 50/50 Raffles, Enhanced Patient Care (EPC) grants support initiatives, programs, items, and equipment that will directly enhance patient and resident care at sites operated by Providence Health Care and Providence Living.
The EPC grant program is open to all Providence Health Care (PHC) and Providence Living (PL) physicians and staff.
EPC Grants are small grants (up to a maximum of $5,000) for initiatives, programs, items, and equipment that will directly enhance patient and resident care at sites operated by Providence Health Care and Providence Living.
The Broad Impact EPC Grant will provide up to a maximum of $40,000 for coordinated initiatives, programs, items, and equipment that will directly enhance patient and resident care across multiple areas at sites operated by Providence Health Care and Providence Living.
EPC Grant Applications Are Now Open!
Do you have an idea that could enhance compassion, comfort, or the quality of care for patients and residents at Providence Health Care or Providence Living residents and hospitals, residents and care sites?
The EPC Grant Program is now accepting grant applications to help bring your meaningful ideas to life.
Application deadline: June 1, 2026
Submissions received after the deadline will not be accepted.
PHC and PL staff and physicians are encouraged to apply. Departmental approval is required as part of the application process.

Reimbursements
If your Grant Application has been approved for funding, St. Paul’s Foundation will reimburse your Providence cost centre once you have spent the money on the project outlined in your application. In order to be reimbursed, please keep a copy of your invoices and receipts and submit a completed SPF Disbursement Request Form – EPC along with your supporting documents to [email protected] by the deadline that is assigned to you when you receive your grant approval email. Instructions can be found on the first tab of the disbursement form, please read carefully before sending in your reimbursement request.
If you spend more than the amount approved in your EPC approval letter, it is the responsibility of you and your Department to find other sources of funding to cover these extra expenses.
