President and CEO
Sheila is an experienced leader in the social-profit sector with a track record of growing teams and organizations, and amplifying their impact.
In her previous roles as President and CEO of Junior Achievement British Columbia and Associate Dean, Development and Alumni Engagement at the UBC Sauder School of Business, Sheila rallied internal resources and external partners to achieve highly aspirational philanthropic goals.
Her passion is leveraging the power created when the private and public sectors intersect and have the vision to build thriving communities. She is skilled in setting and executing strategy, leading teams, public speaking, and engaging the community.
Sheila holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Victoria and a Bachelor’s of Sociology and Consumer Studies from the University of Guelph. She also serves as the Chair of the Advisory Board for the Peter P. Dhillon Centre in Business Ethics at the UBC Sauder School of Business and was a nominee for the Regional RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Social Change Award.

Johann Boulter joined St. Paul’s Foundation as Chief Financial Officer in October 2018.
In her role, Johann is in charge of the strategic, operating, and day-to-day financial activities of the Foundation. Her responsibilities include the preparation of timely and accurate financial information and analysis for the Foundation, the Board of Directors and external agencies. Johann was previously the Acting Director of Internal Audit at the University of British Columbia (UBC). She joined UBC as Assistant Controller in 1999 and held several senior finance roles during her 19 years with the organization. She has also held senior finance positions in the private sector, including the BC Area Finance Manager for Coca-Cola Enterprises.
Johann is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, and holds a variety of other governance, risk, audit, and fraud examination certifications.

As Chief of Staff at St. Paul’s Foundation, Renee helps keep things running smoothly behind the scenes—bringing people, plans, and priorities together to support the Foundation’s mission. She’s passionate about creating a positive, connected workplace and believes strong relationships— within the team, with donors, and with key partners—are key to making a real impact.
Renee has more than 15 years of experience in the charitable sector. Since joining the Foundation in 2011, she’s taken on a variety of leadership roles, including Executive Director of Stewardship & Donor Relations, where she focused on creating meaningful donor experiences grounded in fairness, gratitude, and respect. Before that, she worked in events, donor relations, marketing, and sponsorship at several organizations.
Outside of work, Renee cares deeply about the environment, social justice, and finding ways to give back. She has a Bachelor of Science from UBC and loves to travel, get lost in a good book, and spend time with her family.

Sarah is a purpose-driven leader dedicated to advancing St. Paul’s Foundation’s mission through strategic communications and community engagement. She is ultimately responsible for building a broad base of support for the foundation.
Sarah provides leadership to the marketing and communications, events, and annual giving portfolios. Together, these teams build relationships and inspire community engagement and giving.
She joined St. Paul’s Foundation in 2015 from Edelman, the award-winning global public relations consultancy firm, where she provided strategic counsel and communications support to local, national, and international clients. Sarah thrives in leading diverse, creative, and high-performing teams to maximize their impact.

Nandan Menon is a seasoned Business Intelligence and Analytics leader with over 20 years of experience transforming data into strategic business value. As Vice President of Business Intelligence, Nandan specializes in aligning enterprise data programs with organizational goals, enabling teams to make informed decisions and work more efficiently. His expertise spans data-driven strategy, customer analytics, enterprise data management, CRM, and business process optimization, making him a trusted advisor for executive leadership.
He believes that data is a strategic asset that drives meaningful change when combined with collaboration and innovation. His leadership approach focuses on empowering teams, breaking down silos, and leveraging technology to solve real-world business challenges. By fostering transparency and continuous learning, he ensures every initiative contributes to long-term organizational success.
Nandan holds a master’s degree in Computer Applications and a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. Outside of work, he maintains a keen interest in sports, enjoy watching movies, engaging in outdoor activities, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Teija Beck is proud to have served as part of the St. Paul’s Foundation fundraising team since 2017, starting out as the Manager responsible for the Heart & Lung portfolio, and then as Director of Major Gifts, before moving into the role of Executive Director for the Jim Pattison Medical Campus.
In her time at SPF, Teija has helped to fund projects such as a new cardiac operating room and research professorships. She strives to foster feelings of kinship and belonging among SPF’s esteemed donors, and to welcome more donors into the growing St. Paul’s family.
As Executive Director, Jim Pattison Medical Campus, Teija works closely with Leadership Giving donors and senior volunteers, and oversees a team of fundraisers focused on our capital campaign.
Teija holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of B.C. and a Journalism Certificate from Langara College.
Simone LeBlanc, MA, CFRE, is a senior fundraising and advancement leader with more than 25 years of experience supporting organizations that make a meaningful difference in their communities.
She is known for her collaborative and thoughtful approach, bringing people together around shared purpose and helping donors, volunteers, and leaders connect their values with lasting impact. Simone’s work is rooted in strong relationships and a genuine belief in the power of philanthropy to advance education, health care, and community wellbeing.
Simone has held leadership roles across post-secondary education, health care, and national charitable organizations, including senior advancement roles at Simon Fraser University and VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation. Throughout her career, she has led major and transformational gifts, built strong and effective fundraising teams, and partnered closely with senior leaders to align philanthropic investment with institutional priorities.
Simone holds a Master’s degree in Philanthropy and Development and is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), with a strong commitment to ethical, inclusive, and people-centred fundraising.

Tiana is an experienced people and culture leader dedicated to creating workplaces where individuals feel valued, connected, and inspired to excel. As Executive Director, People and Culture, she leads the organization’s talent strategy, culture initiatives, and employee experience programs.
With nearly two decades of global HR expertise, Tiana has strengthened leadership capability, elevated engagement, and championed the use of HR technology to improve the employee experience. Her collaborative and people-first approach helps teams reach their full potential.
Tiana joined the organization in 2025 and is passionate about fostering environments where people feel empowered and supported.
Tiana holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Victoria, a law degree from the University of Auckland, associate degrees in HR Management (BCIT) and People Analytics (York University), and is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR).

Director, Events
Dayna Backus joined the St. Paul’s Foundation team in 2022. She brings over 15 years of event and not-for-profit experience into her role as the Director of Events. Dayna leads a team of event and fundraising professionals who are passionate about bringing people together, showcasing the innovative work being done at Providence, and celebrating our donors. Events include the Scotiabank Feast of Fortune gala, Lights of Hope, and Health Innovation Series among many others.
Prior to joining St. Paul’s Foundation, Dayna held the position of Regional Director for the BC & Yukon region at JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). With a team around the province, she led 14 fundraising events throughout BC, ranging from peer-to-peer events to galas. Previous roles at Ronald McDonald House BC and the Jewish Community Centre of Vancouver have placed Dayna in the epicentre of events fundraising in Vancouver for more than a decade. In these roles, Dayna has led these organizations in shaping their storytelling, working with corporate partners, and re-imagining events.
Dayna holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of BC and a certificate in Events and Marketing from BCIT. She has a passion for backcountry camping, amazing food, and local BC wines.

Jennifer is a seasoned and enthusiastic marketing professional with a rich background of over 23 years of leadership experience in both award-winning marketing agencies and client-side teams within real estate, tourism, and technology.
In October 2023, Jennifer took on the role of Director of Marketing and Communications at St. Paul’s Foundation, channeling her expertise to amplify the impactful initiatives of St. Paul’s Hospital and St. Paul’s Foundation for the benefit of British Columbians and beyond.
Armed with a Bachelor of Communications from Simon Fraser University, Jennifer also contributes to the academic sphere by instructing marketing students at BCIT’s Flexible Learning Program with courses in Social Media Strategy and Digital Marketing, showcasing her commitment to shaping the next generation of marketing professionals.

Loretta Lawrence’s passion for health care has driven her to strive for excellence throughout her career in philanthropy. At St. Paul’s Foundation, Loretta is responsible for all corporate fundraising campaigns. She comes to St. Paul’s with more than 15 years of extensive fundraising experience from BC Children’s Hospital Foundation and over 10 years’ experience in the retail sector.
At BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, Loretta led fundraising programs for local and national corporate donors, corporate capital campaign fundraising, direct response fundraising, lotteries, tribute giving, and e-philanthropy. She worked with corporate donors to fund programs within the healing and environment project at the new Teck Acute Care Centre at BC Children’s Hospital.
Loretta collaborated with children’s hospitals from across Canada to support programs for Children’s Miracle Network, where she also participated on committees to standardize best practices and policies for hospital foundations across the country.
Loretta is a member of the Vancouver Board of Trade and AFP Vancouver’s Mentorship program, providing guidance and support to individuals within the not-for-profit sector. She earned a certificate in Marketing from NAIT and a degree in Communications from Simon Fraser University.

Diana Li joined St. Paul’s Foundation in July 2017. In her role as Director, Philanthropy, Seniors Care and Healthy Aging, Diana leads the fundraising for Providence Health Care’s seniors homes: Youville Residence, St. Michael’s Centre, St. Vincent’s: Langara, St. Vincent’s: Brock Fahrni, and St. Vincent’s: Honoria Conway-Heather as well as Mount Saint Joseph Hospital.
Prior to joining St. Paul’s, Diana held senior management roles at Rick Hansen Foundation and Ronald McDonald House BC. She also served for 5 years as the Executive Director of the Burnaby Hospice Society.
Diana studied environmental science and psychology at Queen’s University and holds a certificate in fundraising marketing from BCIT. She is an avid runner, expedition traveller and a member of the AFP Vancouver.
Dave Mark, BBA, CPA CGA, CFRE, is a results driven technology and data leader with more than 30 years of experience in the non profit sector. Known for his strategic, innovative, and relationship centered approach, Dave has built a career improving data integrity, operational efficiency, and organizational insight through modern technology solutions.
At St. Paul’s Foundation, Dave leads enterprise data governance, technology policy development, digital transformation initiatives, and analytics modernization. His accomplishments include advancing data analytics through Power BI, optimizing gift processing, refining Raiser’s Edge data structures, and implementing SharePoint and intranet enhancements to support collaboration and reporting. Prior to his current role, Dave held key leadership positions at BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, where he strengthened database management, improved data governance practices, and oversaw major technology and system improvements. He has also served as a part time instructor at the B.C.I.T, teaching fundraising-related management and finance.
A dedicated community builder, Dave has volunteered extensively with the Vancouver Thunderbirds Minor Hockey Association, earning recognition as Coach of the Year for his contribution to youth sports.

As Director of Stewardship & Donor Relations, Jaimie is dedicated to providing an unsurpassed journey at St. Paul’s Foundation to donors who are committed to transforming health care in British Columbia for decades to come.
Jaimie joined St. Paul’s Foundation in 2024 and brings over 10 years of experience in both the not-for-profit and banking sectors. As a former fundraiser, Jaimie has a deep understanding and appreciation for fostering long-lasting and trust-based relationships with donors. She leads her team to curate meaningful donor experiences that are deeply rooted in gratitude and focused on impact.
Jaimie studied education at Simon Fraser University and holds a bachelor’s with a triple minor in Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Psychology, and Social Justice in Education. As a dedicated member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Jaimie volunteers on the Membership Committee at the AFP Greater Vancouver Chapter.

Known for his collaborative, relationship centered approach, Christian helps secure meaningful philanthropic support through thoughtful strategy and strong partnerships.
As Director, Philanthropy at St. Paul’s Foundation, Christian helps lead major gift activity in support of the Jim Pattison Medical Campus. His work focuses on cultivating high impact donor relationships, engaging senior volunteers, and advancing philanthropic investment in one of Canada’s most significant health care projects.
Before joining St. Paul’s Foundation in 2025, Christian served as Associate Director of Development at the UBC Sauder School of Business, where he played a key leadership role in a major capital campaign. As a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), Christian is committed to fostering a strong culture of philanthropy and building relationships that advance mission driven impact. He is an active mentor in the fundraising community in Vancouver.

Danielle Sharp joined St. Paul’s Foundation in 2025, bringing more than two decades of experience in the non profit sector, including 15 years dedicated to annual giving.
A champion of the everyday donor, Danielle leads strategies – and a team of talented professionals – that deepen supporter engagement across offline and online channels. Furthermore, her passion for monthly giving is deeply rooted. Informed not only by her professional focus but also by her own commitment to St. Paul’s Foundation as a monthly donor. And she hopes you will join her by becoming part of this compassionate and committed community.
Danielle holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of New Brunswick and a Master of Arts from Saint Mary’s University/Mount Saint Vincent University, along with multiple professional certificates in fundraising.

Paul Wylie is a seasoned finance professional with over 20 years of experience in financial management, strategic planning, and team leadership. As Controller at the St. Paul’s Foundation, he oversees the Finance team, supporting the Foundation’s mission through strong financial stewardship and operational excellence.
Paul holds a CPA-CA designation and an MA in Business Administration from St. Andrews University in Scotland. His career includes 12 years as Director of Finance/Controller at the BC Cancer Foundation and prior leadership at the British Columbia Nurses Union. He brings deep expertise across both public and private sectors, including audit, internal controls, and financial statement preparation, with notable roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Vancouver and the Cayman Islands, and at Intrawest in Vancouver and Denver.
Outside of work, Paul is passionate about travel, health, and gardening. He actively participates in running, scuba diving and swimming. His diverse interests and commitment to excellence make him a valued member of the St. Paul’s Foundation.
