We are very grateful to the generous donors, sponsors, performers, and speakers who made our first-ever virtual Scotiabank Feast of Fortune a wonderful success. You helped raise more than $262,645 for the future of health care at the new St. Paul’s at the Jim Pattison Medical Centre.
We were especially thrilled when Peterson, a respected real estate company in Vancouver’s business community, came forward with a $1 million pledge to match donations to the new St. Paul’s. Ben Yeung, Executive Chair & CEO of Peterson, and a St. Paul’s Foundation board member, is challenging the Chinese community – and the entire St. Paul’s community – to come together to support the new St. Paul’s. To make a donation and have its impact doubled by this generous pledge, visit helpstpauls.com/donate.
Thanks to our incredible sponsors and donors, not to mention some fast-and-furious bidding wars on many of our rare and unique items, our silent auction raised a total of $42,039! If you had a winning bid, a confirmation has been sent to you. A member of the St. Paul’s Foundation team will follow up to make arrangements for the delivery or pick up of your items.
When the lucky ticket was drawn, the jackpot totalled $11970. Winner Peter Vlahovic took home half for a total of $5,985.
Thank you to everyone who participated in our first-ever Scotiabank Feast of Fortune 50/50 draw. Even if you didn’t win the draw, the tickets you purchased will provide compassion and comfort to patients, long-term care residents, and their families across BC.
Our friends at the Chinese Restaurant Awards have outdone themselves this year. In partnership with an amazing group of local restaurants, DINING for the Feast of Fortune was a great success. For more information on this campaign, visit www.chineserestaurantawards.com/dining-fof-2021.

100 years of care in our community and beyond
Since 2008, donors like you have made the Scotiabank Feast of Fortune one of our most impactful fundraising events. Thanks to the community’s generosity over its first 14 years, patients at Mount Saint Joseph Hospital and across BC have access to state-of-the-art diagnostic tools, surgical equipment, mammography, and so much more. Thank you!
This year, we were fundraising for the very future of health care: the new St. Paul’s at the Jim Pattison Medical Centre.
The new St. Paul’s will join Mount Saint Joseph Hospital, Holy Family Hospital, and our long-term care homes as the cornerstone of Providence Health Care.
It will bring our community unprecedented access to the best medical care, equipment, and researchers in the world.
It will usher in a new gold standard for excellence, community building, and innovation.
And it will become a beacon of health and hope rising just steps from the little house on Keefer Street where MSJ’s founding Sisters opened their first infirmary 100 years ago.
Thank you to our dedicated Scotiabank Feast of Fortune Committee for their extraordinary contributions! Dr. Janet Kow, Cheryl Kwok, Kristen Lai, July Lu, Yuhan Ma, Yuki Pan, Cecilia Yang, Patricia Yeo, and Annie Zuo.
Thanks to our donors, community support, and generous sponsors, Scotiabank Feast of Fortune has raised more than $7.9 million since 2008 to purchase vital medical equipment.
